Domainerly: AI powered domain generator for iOS.
I’m thrilled to share Domainerly with you all today! This started as a personal side project to solve my own domain hunting struggles, and honestly, I never expected it to become something I’d launch publicly.
Why did I build Domainerly? 🤔
I started using AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude to brainstorm domain names for my projects, but the process was so tedious – I’d generate a list, copy each name, manually check availability across different registrars, go back for more suggestions, rinse and repeat. Hours would disappear into this back-and-forth cycle, and I’d usually end up settling for something mediocre just to move forward.
I wanted something quicker, more powerful, and dedicated specifically to this task – so I built Domainerly.
The journey 🚀
For months, I used Domainerly privately for my own projects and had such a blast with it. I continued to tweak it over this time and instead of that painful manual process, I could generate creative domains and see availability instantly. It helped me snag some genuinely great domains that I never would have discovered through the old tedious method.
I never really planned on getting “real” users, but once signups started trickling in, I got motivated to make it even better. This week I rolled out some awesome new features, including model selection – now you can choose different AI approaches to generate domains that match your style perfectly.
